Copyright Assignment
Whereas I desire to have the Contribution published in The Smart Manager and www.thesmartmanager.com and whereas the Magazine and Website, named above, undertakes to publish the Contribution, I therefore now grant and assign the entire copyright for the Contribution to The Smart Manager for its exclusive use. The copyright consists of any and all rights of whatever kind or nature now or hereafter protected by the copyright laws of India and of all foreign countries, in all languages and forms of communication, and The Smart Manager shall be the sole proprietor thereof. The Smart Manager, in turn grants me the right to reprint the Contribution in any book of which I am the author or editor, subject to my giving proper credit in the book to the original publication of the Contribution in The Smart Manager. To protect the copyright in the Contribution, the original copyright notice as it appears in The Smart Manager should be included in the credit.
Warranty
I warrant that the Contribution is original with me; that it contains no matter which is defamatory or is otherwise unlawful or which invades individual privacy or infringes any proprietary right or any statutory copyright; and I agree to indemnify and hold The Smart Manager harmless against any claim to the contrary. Further, I warrant that I have the right to assign the copyright to The Smart Manager and that no portion of the copyright to the Contribution has been assigned previously.
Previous Publication & Permission
I warrant that the Contribution has not been published elsewhere in whole or in part and that no agreement to publish is outstanding. Should the Contribution contain material, which requires written permission for inclusion in the Contribution, I shall obtain such permission at my own expense from the copyright proprietor and submit it for review to the editor of The Smart Manager with the manuscript.
Editorial Changes & Revisions
The Editor and Publisher of The Smart Manager has the right to make any revision to the Contribution which they may deem desirable in the uniformity and style of the Magazine and the Website.
Compensation
I understand and accept that I will receive no monetary compensation for the assignment of copyright from The Smart Manager, and publication of the Contribution in the Magazine and on the Website.
